Client: Leading iGaming Operator – Central & South-Eastern Europe
Technology Partners: UltraVision Consult & Metra Smart Lockers
Scope: Centralized Management of Lockers, Access rights and permissions, Users management
Challenge
In a fast-paced iGaming environment, managing lockers and access control across multiple buildings was inefficient and fragmented.
Employees would frequently forget badges inside lockers, require manual intervention from the security team, or create inconsistencies in attendance tracking. Meanwhile, locker usage data, access credentials and time records were stored in separate systems, making cross-checking complicated.
The organization needed a single, integrated platform to manage locker access, identity credentials and timekeeping, all with real-time control and full traceability.
Solution
UltraVision Consult integrated Metra’s smart locker system directly into AppVision PSIM, enabling real-time, centralized control via software-to-software communication between the two platforms.
From a single interface, dispatch operators can now:
- View locker status (available, occupied, assigned)
- Identify who is using which locker, based on badge ID (and/or through video verification)
- Remotely open, release, or assign lockers without on-site presence
- Monitor, audit and correlate locker use with access and attendance data
- Call and start cleaning process
- Secure access to lockers content in case of emergency or missing owner
- Health monitoring
Key Features
- Unified Identity Management:
One database manages each user’s badge ID, locker access rights, time tracking, and access control, eliminating duplication and errors. - Graphical Locker View in AppVision:
Lockers appear visually on a map, with color-coded status and click-to-act controls (e.g., unlock or assign remotely). - Remote Security Intervention:
If an employee leaves their badge inside a locker, the dispatcher can unlock it remotely – no downtime, no physical intervention. - Custom Access Logic:
Badge credentials control not only locker access, but also room entry and time clocking – all managed by centrally defined rules. - Video-Verified Access:
For different lockers (e.g., pigeon boxes), access is logged and paired with video verification for audit and extra security purposes. - Cross-System Correlation:
Example: if an employee clocks out but still has a locker assigned, the system flags it. All locker, access and attendance data is connected.
Results
- Faster resolution of locker-related issues
- Reduced manual work for security teams
- Real-time visibility and control across buildings
- Better auditability for HR and compliance
- Consistent, badge-based access for all core functions
